How do I purchase a Plaque for the Memorial Ribbon WALL?

Plaques are currently sold out. We are working with the Flagstaff Parks and Recreation group to explore the possibility of offering more plaques in the future. Please stay tuned!

When will the plaque be added to the Memorial Ribbon?

Our new plaques were installed in May 2020 at the Children’s Garden of Flagstaff in Foxglenn Park. Unfortunately, due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 this spring, the dedication ceremony had to be postponed. We are hopeful that things will improve and we will be able to hold our dedication ceremony in the Spring/Summer 2021.

We had our inaugural installation of 74 beautiful plaques at the Children's Garden on May 21, 2017.  We installed an additional 38 plaques on May 20, 2018. In May 2019, we installed 19 plaques. In 2020, we installed the final 17 plaques on the original memorial design.

Why does the personalization of my plaque require approval?

The memorial plaques that are installed at the Children's Garden are in a public park, on land that is owned and maintained by the City of Flagstaff Parks & Recreation Department. Therefore, each personalization must be reviewed and approved by the Children's Garden and the City of Flagstaff Parks & Recreation for appropriateness. Unfortunately, any religious text cannot be approved.

If I donate to the Children's Garden, will it be tax-deductible?

All donations to the Children's Garden will be tax-deductible through JLB Project, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and will be placed in a specific account restricted for the construction of the Children's Garden only. The purchase of a plaque is NOT tax-deductible.

Will my donation be publicly recognized?

All donations of $500 or $1,000 will be recognized in the entrance garden with a specially engraved paver. Donors will also be recognized on the "Our Sponsors" page of this website, under "Bronze" for $500, or "Silver" for $1,000.

All donations less than $500 will be recognized on the "Our Sponsors" page of this website under "Friends of the Garden". If you would rather remain anonymous and not have your name listed, please make a note in the comment section when processing your donation, or email us at info@cgflg.org.
